Project 2

Credit Card Fraud

Tech Stack:

Tech StackTech Stack

Credit Card Fraud Detection Using Machine Learning Implemented and compared multiple machine learning models, including SVM (linear, RBF, and polynomial kernels), logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks, and random forests to detect credit card fraud. Addressed class imbalance using under-sampling, over-sampling, and SMOTE, achieving significant improvements in recall, precision, and F1-score. Successfully demonstrated that over-sampling methods outperformed other approaches in balancing fraud detection accuracy.

Project 2

Unemployment and Incarcerations

Tech Stack:

Tech Stack

Conducted a statistical analysis of unemployment rates and incarceration levels across six southern U.S. states, using ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis, Chi-Square, and correlation tests. Results highlighted significant state-level disparities, with Louisiana showing the highest unemployment and incarceration rates, while Texas exhibited the lowest. Identified a moderate correlation between unemployment and incarceration, suggesting other contributing socio-economic factors.
